But from her experiences when it comes to picking the incredible accommodations seen on "World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals," Megan Batoon has some excellent advice. "Pictures and reviews — reviews are the biggest thing for me," she told Explore. "I used to never read reviews, but whether it's an Airbnb or a hotel or even a place to go, I'm always looking at reviews."
While Batoon's advice may seem obvious to some, it's definitely important to do your research before you travel. "One time I didn't, and I booked an Airbnb in Jamaica, and it was one of the scariest places I had visited because I didn't read the reviews," Batoon explains. "If I would've [read] the reviews, I would've gotten somewhere else. That's a pro tip — read the reviews." Luckily, there are so many ways to choose the perfect vacation, whether it's a budget-friendly option you're after or a destination further afield, like Japan. Just remember to always read the reviews first!
